Chassis and Bulkhead Replacements

When the chassis or bulkhead on your Land Rover has had its day, a proper swap can give the vehicle a new start. Our service is all about doing the job carefully and correctly so your Land Rover is solid, reliable, and ready for the future.

We remove the old frame and fit a brand-new chassis, treated to resist corrosion and built to last. You can choose from galvanised or e-coated finishes, giving you the protection that suits your needs.

Process

The process starts with a simple review of your Land Rover. You can bring it to us, or we can come out to you for an initial look and an estimate of the work. We’ll go over the details together over a cup of tea, talk through the options, and once you’re happy, the strip-down and rebuild work begins.

'While we're at it'

A swap is also the right time to renew the important parts that sit around the chassis. Crossmembers, suspension fittings, brackets, and brake parts are replaced where required, so you don’t end up putting tired components back on a fresh frame. The result is a vehicle that feels stronger and drives better.

While the body is off, we can also repair or replace bulkheads, refinish the chassis or crossmembers in satin black, refresh suspension with new springs, shocks and bushes, and overhaul the brakes. We can apply stone-chip protection, clean and paint axles, and always carry out an MOT so the vehicle is ready to go as soon as it leaves the workshop. All restorations policy

All work is carried out by our experienced team, who follow the same process every time: strip down, replace, clean, service, rebuild, and test. Along the way, you get a full health check and report, so you know exactly what has been done.
Our aim is simple. We rebuild Defenders and Series Land Rovers properly, with care and experience, so you can drive away with confidence that the job has been done right.

Parts

Our preferred partner for chassis and bulkheads is Richards Chassis, whose products have proven reliable and well-built over many years. If you would like us to use an alternative manufacturer, we are happy to arrange that and will make sure the same care and attention goes into the work whichever option you choose.

Warranty

All of our labour is covered by a 12-month warranty. Any parts we supply are also covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty where applicable. Please note that warranty applies to the specific work we have carried out, not the entire vehicle.
